There is a lot of money to be made in this end of the music business and if you are someone who creates original music, you should consider getting involved. How do you get involved? Well, that's what tonight podcast is all about!
I was extremely lucky to speak with Randy Spencer of Pitch Music. Randy is the founder and CEO of Pitch Music and what his company does is find music to fit his clients visual which could be a TV commercial, TV show or film. In simple terms find "background" music to a specific scene. Randy has many years of experience and has a wealth of relationships with in the music business and is an authority figure on the topic of music licensing. Randy was kind enough to discuss in great length the basics of music licensing and how an artists can get involved in licensing their music. So sit back and relax. Get yourself a note pad, take notes and LISTEN UP! If want to create another revenue stream with your music, this is a great option.
